ISTANBUL
Turkish football giants Galatasaray on Monday signed Uruguayan left-back Marcelo Saracchi on loan for one-and-a-half-years from German team Leipzig.
"Welcome, Marcelo Saracchi," Galatasaray said on their official Twitter account.
Under the deal, Galatasaray will pay Leipzig a €500,000 ($560,000) transfer fee.
The Lions will give €700,000 ($783,000) to Saracchi for his first half-season salary and €1,350,000 ($1,510,000) for his salary next season.
The 21-year-old defender scored goals in seven matches this season in Leipzig.
