Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic became the Italian Serie A’s oldest goal scorer but his team AC Milan lost to Udinese in a Saturday league match.

Udinese bagged a 3-1 win over visitors Milan at Dacia Arena, Udine. But it was a historic day for Ibrahimovic.

At 41 years and 166 days old, the team captain scored from the penalty spot to overtake ex-Milan defender Alessandro Costacurta.

A Milan legend, Costacurta was 41 years and 25 days old in May 2007 when he scored against Udinese from penalty. He retired the same year.

Milan are in the fourth spot with 48 points in 27 matches. Lazio have 49, and second-placed Inter Milan have 50 points.

Napoli are leading the league with 68 points before their away match at Torino.
