Wolfsburg has signed Chelsea's German winger Andre Schurrle before the closing of the mid-season transfer window, the German club announced Monday night in a statement on its website.

Wolfsburg agreed on terms with the English Premier League club for the transfer of the 24-year-old international.

He is now contractually linked to the club until 2019.

Able to play as a winger or a forward, Schurrle had 14 goals and three assists in 65 appearances with Chelsea.

Boasting 17 goals in 42 international matches, Andre Schurrle also made the assist to his teammate Mario Gotze for the winning goal in Germany's victory against Argentina to claim the World Cup title.
