Espanyol shocked Spanish LaLiga leaders Real Madrid 1-0 in a week 22 match on Saturday.
Spanish defender Carlos Romero's goal in the 58th minute brought the victory to the hosts at RCDE Stadium.
Real Madrid remained in the top spot in the league with 49 points after suffering their third defeat of the season.
Espanyol are in the 17th spot with 23 points
