Brazilian defender Vinicius Tobias moved to Real Madrid from Shakhtar Donetsk on loan, the Ukrainian football club confirmed on Friday.

"He will play on loan for the Madrid club until the end of the 2022/23 season. Under the agreement terms, Real Madrid also has the option to buy the player," Shakhtar said in a statement.

The 18-year-old Tobias, who joined the Ukrainian side in January 2022, participated in the team's training camp but did not have a chance to make his debut.

He has represented his nation at the U16 level, scoring one goal in seven matches.
