Besiktas smashed Elazigspor 4-1, who are currently in last place in Spor Toto Super League, thanks to their energetic second half performance.
Czech international of Besiktas, Tomas Sivok, opened the scoring with the header but Elazigspor equalised the level of the match immediately with Deniz Yilmaz, 1-1. First half ended as a draw. As soon as the second half began, Black Eagles got off to a flying start with their Slovakian forward, Filip Holosko, who found the net when he entered the box. Besiktas clinched the victory with Olcay Sahan who scored the third goal for his team. Finally, Filip Holosko's second goal put his side up 4-1 and the match ended with this score.
With this result Besiktas climbed to third rank in the league table with 29 points while Elazigspor remain in last place with 10 points. Besiktas' Portuguese star Manuel Fernandes wasn't selected for the match squad due to his ankle injury in addition to midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup suffering from a groin strain injury and Portuguese international forward Hugo Almeida and Brazilian left-back Ramon Motta who were sent off last week against Kasimpasa.
