Boca Juniors defeat Barcelona on penalties to lift Maradona Cup
Exhibition match played to honor 1st anniversary of death of Argentine legend Maradona

ANKARA
It took a penalty shootout Tuesday for Boca Juniors to beat Spanish giants Barcelona to win the Maradona Cup in tribute to Argentine football great Diego Armando Maradona.
After ending 1-1 thanks to goals from Ferran Jutgla and Exequiel Zeballos, the match went to penalties where the Argentine club won 4-2.
The exhibition match was played at Mrsool Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to honor the first anniversary of the death of Maradona.
The former Barcelona and Boca Juniors player died on Nov. 25, 2020 of heart failure at the age of 60.
