ANKARA

Bayern Munich's teen star Jamal Musiala has caught COVID-19, the German football club said on Wednesday.

"FC Bayern attacker Jamal Musiala, 18, has tested positive for coronavirus. He is well and is in isolation at home," Bayern Munich said in a statement.

A Bayern Munich attacking midfielder since 2020, German international Musiala won the German Bundesliga in 2020 and 2021.

This season Musiala scored six goals and made five assists in 27 appearances for his club.

He has a contract with Bayern Munich until 2026.

Musiala is a dual citizen, holding a UK passport as well.
