Russian-controlled Luhansk region claims 19 injured in Ukrainian drone strike on village

ISTANBUL

Authorities in Ukraine’s Russian-controlled Luhansk region said 19 civilians were injured in a Ukrainian drone strike on the village of Tsentralny, while Kyiv has not commented on the claim.

Regional Health Minister Natalya Pashchenko said on Telegram that drones struck the village in the Perevalsk district of eastern Ukraine over the weekend.

She said all of the injured were locals who were either near the impact site or inside their homes at the time.

Three people are in serious condition and six are in moderate condition, while the others were treated as outpatients, she added.

Earlier, regional head Leonid Pasechnik said 15 civilians had been injured in what he described as a massive Ukrainian drone strike. He also claimed that dozens of residential and social facilities were damaged.

Claims in the conflict are difficult to confirm due to the conditions of the war, which is set this month to reach the four-year mark.

There was no immediate comment from Ukrainian authorities.
