Russia on Sunday claimed that its forces captured two more Ukrainian settlements.
In a statement, the Defense Ministry said the village of Sukhetske in the Donetsk region and Zelene in the Kharkiv region came under the control of the Russian Tsentr (Center) and Sever (North) groups of forces.
According to the ministry, Ukraine responded with an air raid, with Russian air defense systems shooting down four guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS missile, and 94 drones.
In a separate statement, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed carrying out a drone strike against Russian forces, claiming it hit a repair base and drone control points.
It reported that a drone repair base was struck in the Zaporizhzhia region, and two control points were targeted in the Donetsk and Kursk regions.
Separately, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed Russia launched some 6,000 drones against targets in Ukraine last month.
