Russian forces said they had captured a village in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region within the last 24 hours, announcing a series of advances across several frontline areas.

In a statement, the Russian Defense Ministry said its forces pushed deeper into Ukrainian defenses and claimed control of the eastern village of Orestopil, along with seven other settlements during the past week.

“The clearing of Ukrainian militants from the village of Rog (Roh) in the Donetsk region has been completed,” the ministry said, adding that Danylivka and Vovche in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Novouspenivske, Nove, Solodke and Rybne in the Zaporizhzhia region were also taken.

Ukraine has not confirmed the Russian claims, which could not be independently verified.
