The U.S. President Barack Obama discussed the crashed Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 with the U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel on phone.
According to a statement released by the White House on Friday, the leaders reaffirmed a "full, credible and unimpeded international investigation" was needed to be carried out concerning the crash of the Malaysian commercial airliner with 295 people on board close to Ukraine-Russia border.
They agreed on ensuring the pro-Russian separatists grant "secure and unfettered access to the incident site" for international investigators to conduct the probe.
The leaders also discussed recent sanctions imposed by the U.S. and the EU on Russia for its failure to take necessary steps to de-escalate the Ukraine tension.
Blaming Russia for the escalation of the Ukraine conflict by allowing flow of separatists and heavy arms into Ukraine, three leaders reiterated that they would take further steps in case that Russia failed to take necessary steps for de-escalation.
President Obama and PM David Cameron reportedly discussed the Israeli invasion of Gaza Strip, reiterating their support to Israel.
The two leaders agreed that a cease-fire should immediately be ensured against the risk of further escalation and loss of more innocent lives.
Death toll in Gaza has reached 309 and more than 2,200 have been wounded since Israel's ongoing offensive on Gaza began on July 7, according to Palestinian health ministry.
