The US-Israeli attacks have caused $500 million in damage to 21 historic sites in Iran's Isfahan, the governor said.

The provincial administration is "fully prepared to pursue compensation for the damage to historical sites through the relevant national and international authorities," Isfahan's governor said, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported Friday on the US social media company X.

Since Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran on Feb. 28, killing over 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, hostilities have escalated.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
