Tunisia's prime minister pays 1st official visit to Algeria
Ahmed El-Hachani appointed prime minister on Aug. 2 by President Kais Saied
ALGERIA
Tunisian Prime Minister Ahmed El-Hachani paid his first official visit to Algeria on Tuesday.
A statement released by the Algerian Prime Ministry said that upon his evening arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport, El-Hachani was welcomed by his Algerian counterpart Aymen Benabderrahmane.
El-Hachani came to the country on the two-day visit with a high-level delegation within the framework of the 22nd session of the Tunisian-Algerian Joint High Commission.
It was also reported that Benabderrahmane and El-Hachani would also participate in the official opening of the Tunisian-Algerian Economic Forum.
El-Hachani was appointed prime minister on Aug. 2 by President Kais Saied to replace Najla Bouden.
