Fragments from a cluster missile fell in several locations across the greater Tel Aviv area in central Israel, causing building damage, with multiple media reports of several injuries following Iran's seventh barrage on Sunday.
According to the Israel Hayom newspaper, several missile fragments fell in the Gush Dan (greater Tel Aviv) area, including the cities of Bat Yam and Holon.
Channel 12 reported that shrapnel also fell in the cities of Or Yehuda and Beit Dagan in the same area after the launch of a cluster missile from Iran, causing damage without providing further details.
The Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that two people were injured after fragments of an Iranian cluster missile struck a house in Bat Yam, in the greater Tel Aviv area of central Israel, following a missile barrage from Iran.
Videos circulated on local Telegram platforms showed fires breaking out in Holon following the incident.
Shortly before, air raid sirens sounded in the greater Tel Aviv area, including Holon and Bat Yam, as well as in the coastal plain and the Sharon region in central Israel, following a missile barrage launched from Iran.
Since early Sunday, Israel has been subjected to successive missile barrages from Iran, with no immediate independent reports on the extent of damage or casualties, amid limited disclosure by Israeli authorities regarding losses and repeated warnings by the army against publishing footage or images of targeted sites.
Earlier, Israel’s Health Ministry said the number of people injured since Feb. 28 had risen to over 4,500 as of Sunday morning.
Since Feb. 28, Israel and the United States have been carrying out military operations against Iran, resulting in hundreds of deaths, including senior security officials, and widespread destruction, while Tehran has responded by launching missiles and drones toward Israel.
Iran has also targeted what it describes as US bases and interests in several Arab countries, with some attacks causing casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, actions that have been condemned by the affected states, which have called for an end to the attacks.
