Rocket fragments on Monday fell near Israel’s parliament and the Prime Minister’s Office in West Jerusalem, following a barrage of missiles launched by Iran toward Israel, according to Israeli media reports.
Israel’s public broadcaster published a photo of what it described as a large missile fragment that landed near the Knesset building in Jerusalem.
Video footage aired by Israeli media also showed Knesset members rushing to shelters after sirens sounded in the area. Meanwhile, the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that more fragments fell near the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
Channel 12 reported that several missile fragments fell across wide areas of Jerusalem and central Israel after Iran fired a barrage of missiles toward the country. There was no immediate confirmation from independent sources regarding possible casualties or material damage resulting from the falling fragments.
