Qatar calls Israeli attack on Doha ‘serious threat’ in letter to UN Security Council
Qatari envoy to UN says Doha ‘will not tolerate this aggressive Israeli behavior’

ISTANBUL
Qatar on Tuesday denounced an Israeli attack on the capital Doha as a “serious threat” to the security and safety of its citizens and residents, in a letter to the UN Security Council.
In the letter, Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, described the attack as “a grave incident requiring immediate attention,” the state news agency QNA reported.
The delegate said investigations are currently underway at the highest level, and further details will be announced once available.
The Qatari diplomat stressed that her country strongly condemns the attack and “will not tolerate this aggressive Israeli behavior.”
Israel's military confirmed that it conducted a “precise strike” on senior Hamas leadership, without specifying the Qatari capital.
Hamas said that five group members were killed in the Israeli attack, but its negotiating delegation has survived.
