ISTANBUL
A group of young illegal Israeli settlers who are seizing Palestinian lands attempted to establish a new settlement unit in Quneitra governorate, located within the disengagement zone of the occupied Golan Heights.
Videos posted on social media showed a group of the settlers crossing the security fence in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights and reaching the village of Bir Ajam in Quneitra.
The footage captured moments of the settlers pouring concrete into wooden molds they had brought with them.
One frame showed the name of the planned settlement unit on Syrian territory: “Neve Habashan.”
Following the fall of the Ba'ath regime, Israel has carried out attacks on various provinces in Syria. Simultaneously, it has established military bases and outposts both inside and outside the 1974 disengagement zone in Quneitra governorate in the country’s south, where it also conducts patrols.
