Israeli forces kill over 90 Palestinians in Gaza, including 77 awaiting aid
More than 100 people injured as multiple areas across enclave hit by drone strikes and artillery shelling

ANKARA
Israeli forces killed at least 93 Palestinians and injured more than 100 in attacks Sunday across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources and officials.
Seventy-three people lost their lives and more than 100 were injured when the Israeli military opened fire on starving Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid in the Al-Sudaniya area northwest of Gaza City, medical sources told Anadolu.
The sources said the bodies of the victims were taken to Shifa Hospital and other medical facilities after the Israeli attack.
Eyewitnesses said many of the victims were transported by carts and makeshift vehicles due to a collapse in medical infrastructure.
In a separate strike near the Al-Tahliyah Roundabout in Khan Younis, four more Palestinians were killed while waiting for aid, medical sources said.
The attacks came amid a surge in Israeli assaults on Palestinians gathering in search of food and aid, especially under a controversial Israeli- and US-supported aid plan.
The death toll of those killed while seeking humanitarian aid has reached 922, with more than 5,861 injured since May 27, according to official sources.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces shelled the Applied Sciences College in Khan Younis, killing 14 people, including members of the Civil Defense, medical sources told Anadolu.
Another Israeli strike targeted an apartment in central Gaza City, killing a woman and her daughter.
Israeli ground forces also carried out demolition operations in the Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza City, blowing up several homes.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled several areas in eastern Gaza City, while Israeli naval vessels opened fire toward Palestinian fishermen off the coast of the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Sunday’s escalation adds to the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
On Saturday alone, Israeli airstrikes and gunfire killed more than 130 Palestinians throughout the territory, including 38 who were awaiting humanitarian aid, while three children succumbed to severe malnutrition, according to official Palestinian sources.
Israel has killed nearly 59,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, collapsed the health system and led to severe food shortages.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
