Israeli army forces shot and injured a Palestinian teenager and assaulted two paramedics in raids across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, local media said.

Israeli forces raided the Al-Arroub refugee camp in Hebron, triggering clashes with Palestinian residents, the official news agency Wafa reported.

Israeli forces used live fire and tear gas canisters during the raid, injuring a Palestinian teenager, while dozens suffered temporary asphyxiation.

Israeli forces also assaulted two paramedics during a raid in the town of Halhul, north of Hebron, Wafa said.

Two Palestinians were arrested by the Israeli army in raids in Beit Awwa, south of Hebron, and Anata, northeast of East Jerusalem. Military raids were also reported in Ramallah and the Jalazone refugee camp in the city, but no arrests were reported.

In the northern city of Qalqilya, Israeli forces arrested another Palestinian after raiding his home and ransacking its contents, Wafa said.

Meanwhile, Illegal Israeli settlers raided the Palestinian village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, and attacked residents and their farmland, the Al-Baidar Organisation for the Defense of Bedouins said in a statement.

In the Khallet al-Louza area, south of Bethlehem, illegal settlers released their livestock onto Palestinian farmlands, destroying part of the crops, the organization said.

Al-Baidar said Israeli settlers also plan to establish an outpost in the Rogm al-Naqa area, east of the village of al-Rashayida, south of Bethlehem.

“This step comes as part of repeated attempts by illegal settlers to seize Palestinian lands, especially those of historical and strategic significance,” it warned.

Rogm al-Naqa was originally a Jordanian army site built in 1956, located about 10 km east of al-Rashayida village. The area is used for grazing and farming.

Last month, illegal settlers committed 431 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, according to data from the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.

The commission estimates the number of Israeli settlers in the West Bank at around 770,000, concentrated in 180 settlements and 256 outposts, including 136 agricultural-herding outposts.

Since October 2023, at least 1,046 Palestinians have been killed and more than 10,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and illegal settlers, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In a landmark opinion last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
