Israeli army warns Tehran residents ahead of planned strikes on Iran's military infrastructure
Army spokesman issues 'urgent alerts' for residents of Iranian capital amid planned strikes as regional tensions escalate
ISTANBUL
The Israeli army on Friday warned residents of Tehran ahead of planned strikes on Iran's military infrastructure.
In a post on US social media company X, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee issued "urgent alerts" to residents of the Iranian capital.
Adraee cited a post by the Israeli army urging residents of the Lia Industrial Area in Qazvin and certain districts of Tehran, including Moniriyeh District, to leave "immediately."
The regional escalation has intensified since Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which Iranian authorities say has killed around 1,300 people and injured over 10,000 others.
Tehran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets.
