The Israeli army on Wednesday demolished a house belonging to the family of two Palestinian detainees in the town of Bruqin, west of the city of Salfit in the northern occupied West Bank.
According to the official news agency WAFA, a large Israeli military force, accompanied by a bulldozer, raided the town.
Israeli soldiers surrounded the house of Zuheir Samara, the father of detainees Maher and Jamil, and began demolishing it while preventing local residents from approaching the area.
Activists and journalists shared footage on social media showing the dwelling's demolition.
On May 23, the Israeli army had taken measurements of two houses in the town, claiming they were linked to Nael Samara, who allegedly carried out an armed attack near the town that resulted in the death of an Israeli settler.
The Israeli army killed Nael Samara on May 17 and continues to hold his body. On Sept. 14, Israel also demolished the Samara family’s home.
