Israel launches ‘wide-scale’ wave of airstrikes on Iran’s capital
Army says regime infrastructure targeted in airstrikes
ISTANBUL
The Israeli army said Thursday evening that it has begun a “wide-scale” wave of airstrikes across the Iranian capital Tehran.
A military statement claimed that the attacks targeted infrastructure of the Iranian regime across Tehran.
No further details were immediately given about the targets or possible casualties.
Regional tensions flared up since Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran since Feb. 28 that has so far killed some 1,300 people and injured over 10,000 others, according to Iranian authorities.
Tehran retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Iraq, and Gulf countries that are home to US military assets.
