Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government condemns Israeli attack on Iran
Military confrontations will only endanger regional and international stability, KRG warns, urging international response to prevent further escalation

ISTANBUL
The Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) on Friday condemned Israel's extensive attack on Iran, warning that using military force to resolve disputes endangers both regional and international stability.
In a statement, the KRG said: “We condemn the Israeli attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran and the use of military force to resolve conflicts. These developments further complicate the pursuit of peace and stability in the region and pose a threat to regional and international security and stability.”
The statement emphasized that military confrontations would exacerbate the crisis.
“At this critical moment, it is imperative for the international community to respond swiftly and urgently and prevent any further escalation of the tensions,” it added.
Israel launched a massive attack early Friday, using 200 fighter jets to target Iran's nuclear program and long-range missile capabilities. The strikes killed senior Iranian military officials as well as nuclear scientists.
Iran has vowed "severe punishment" and called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to hold Israel accountable for its actions.
