Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned Wednesday that any attack on Iran launched from US military bases in neighboring countries would be “unacceptable under any circumstances.”

Pezeshkian made the remarks during a phone call with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, according to Iranian state media.

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported that the two leaders discussed regional developments amid US and Israeli attacks on Iran and their potential international repercussions.

Pezeshkian said Iran values its relations with neighboring states but warned against attacks originating from US bases located in the region.

“Any attack on Iran launched from US military bases located on the territory of regional countries is unacceptable under any circumstances,” he said.

Referring to an earlier strike in the southern Iranian city of Minab, Pezeshkian said: “At the very beginning of this brutal war, there was an attack on a school in Minab that led to the martyrdom of 168 students.”

Pezeshkian also commented on reports of an incident at Oman’s Port of Salalah, saying Iran’s military actions target only areas directly involved in attacks against the country and adding that “a comprehensive investigation will certainly be carried out regarding this incident.”

The US and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran on Feb. 28, which have killed more than 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as over 150 schoolgirls.

Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
