Missile attacks on Israeli and US targets are expected to intensify further, says commander of IRGC’s Aerospace Force
ANKARA
Iran will no longer launch missiles carrying warheads lighter than one ton at US and Israeli targets, the commander of the Aerospace Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Monday.
According to remarks carried by local media, Majid Mousavi said that missile attacks on Israeli and US targets are expected to intensify further.
Regional escalation has intensified since Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,200 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to Iranian authorities.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries that are home to US military assets.
