Three Palestinian children were injured in attacks by illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank on Tuesday, while at least 40 Palestinians were detained in military raids in the occupied territory.

According to Israel’s public broadcaster KAN, illegal settlers attacked a Palestinian home in the town of al-Samu, south of Hebron, injuring three children and killing several sheep.

Data from the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission showed that illegal Israeli settlers carried out 621 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank in November alone.

Separately, the Israeli army rounded up 40 people and searched several homes in military raids in multiple areas across the West Bank.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office said nine people were taken into Israeli custody in Tulkarem and Qalqilya in the northern West Bank.

In the south, Israeli forces detained 31 Palestinians, including 22 from the town of Dura, south of Hebron, and nine from Tuqu, southeast of Bethlehem, it added.

More than 9,300 Palestinians, including women and children, remain held in Israeli prisons, where many face abuse, starvation and medical neglect that has led to multiple deaths, according to Israeli and Palestinian human rights organizations.

According to Palestinian figures, Israeli forces and illegal settlers have killed at least 1,102 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, injured nearly 11,000, and detained around 21,000 since October 2023.

In a landmark opinion last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
