The final four-day session of the Gaza Tribunal, a global and independent initiative investigating Israel’s alleged war crimes in Gaza, opened at Istanbul University on Thursday with the participation of academics, human rights advocates, media representatives and members of civil society organizations.

The tribunal will conclude on Oct. 26, and the session will end with the announcement of its final verdict.

As part of the program, side events including exhibitions, documentary screenings and talks are taking place in the Honor Hall of the Faculty of Literature at Istanbul University.

Within these events, an exhibition featuring photographs from the book Evidence, which were compiled by Anadolu journalists documenting Israel’s genocide and persecution in Palestine, has been opened.

In addition, the Evidence documentary by Anadolu will be screened.

The film presents the visuals from the book, which serve as fundamental proof of Israel’s crimes in Gaza, while also portraying the challenges and testimonies of the journalists who produced these materials.

As part of the side events, Prof. Dr. Ayhan Citil will hold a public talk titled The Responsibility of Thinkers After Gaza, and former UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine Prof. Dr. Richard Falk will deliver a lecture titled International Law and Conscience.

The event also features book stalls with works on Palestine and a section called Wall of Hope: Messages and Prayers for Gaza, where visitors can write prayers and messages for Gaza.
