Three people were killed and five others wounded on Friday when an explosive device detonated inside a mosque in the central Syrian city of Homs, according to state media.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported preliminary information indicating that the blast occurred inside the Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque in the Wadi al-Dhahab neighborhood.
Syrian authorities announced that an investigation had begun to identify any suspects.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
