Israeli right-wingers vandalize Palestinian cars in ‘price tag’ attack
Attackers draw racist graffiti on walls in Arab town of Abu Ghosh
JERUSALEM
Israeli settlers vandalized Palestinian properties and set four cars ablaze in the Arab town of Abu Ghosh, northwest of Jerusalem, according to Israeli police on Monday.
In a statement, police said it found racist graffiti written on walls in the town.
Police launched an investigation into the incident.
The attack is suspected to be part of the "price tag" attacks carried out by Israeli right-wingers against Palestinian citizens, according to Israeli public broadcaster KAN.
A similar attack took place in the same town last November.
"Price tag" vandalism is a strategy used by extremist Jewish settlers to attack Palestinians and their property in retaliation for perceived threats to Israeli settlement expansion.
