Russia says 3 killed, 7 injured in Ukrainian drone attack in Kursk region
86 Ukrainian drones intercepted by air defenses, according to Russian Defense Ministry

Russia said on Wednesday that at least three people were killed and seven others injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on a beach in the country’s border region of Kursk last night.
“To our deep sorrow, as a result of the attack on the city beach (in Kursk), three people died on the spot,” Kursk Governor Alexander Khinshtein wrote on Telegram late Tuesday.
Initially reporting that four people were injured due to the strike, Khinshtein said that the number of injured later rose to seven.
“They have shrapnel wounds and burns of varying degrees. Five people, including a child, are in serious condition. Doctors are doing everything to save them,” he added.
The Defense Ministry claimed that the country’s air defenses intercepted 86 Ukrainian drones – 23 of them over the Kursk region.
Ukrainian authorities have not immediately commented on the attack or Russia’s claims.
