RAMALLAH, Palestine/ISTANBUL
Several Palestinians, including one critically injured, were wounded Tuesday when illegal Israeli settlers attacked Beitillu in northwest Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian sources.
The local Voice of Palestine Radio reported that several Palestinians sustained injuries, one seriously, in the illegal settler assault on Beitillu, without providing details on the number or nature of the injuries.
Palestine TV, a government-run outlet, broadcast footage showing illegal armed settlers gathering near the village’s entrances. Activists on social media platforms said settlers fired live fire at Palestinian homes.
The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that illegal settlers carried out 341 attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank during April.
At least 969 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in attacks by the Israeli army and illegal settlers in the occupied West Bank since the start of the war against the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The International Court of Justice declared Israel's decades-long occupation of Palestinian land illegal last July and demanded the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
