Bahraini officials urged residents and Bahraini citizens to "head to the nearest safe place" after sirens sounded for the sixth time on Saturday amid an ongoing regional escalation.

"The siren has been sounded. Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place," the Interior Ministry wrote on the US social media company X’s platform.

The US and Israel have been carrying out airstrikes on Iran since Feb. 28, killing more than 1,340 people.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and infrastructure damage, while disrupting global markets and aviation.
