Fire at facility in Bahrain targeted by Iran brought under control
Interior Ministry says sirens sounded, urges residents to seek safety and follow official updates
ANKARA
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry said on Saturday that civil defense teams brought a fire at a facility targeted by Iran under control, while sirens were sounded across parts of the country.
The ministry said on US social company X that emergency teams “managed to control the fire that broke out in one of the facilities targeted.”
In a follow-up statement, it added: “We urge citizens and residents to remain calm, head to the nearest safe place, and follow the news through official channels.”
The ministry said civil defense units responded to the incident at a facility it described as targeted, and worked to contain the fire.
No further details were provided on casualties or damage.
Officials advised residents to stay alert and rely on official information channels for updates.
For nearly a month, the US and Israel have carried out an air offensive on Iran, killing more than 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damaging infrastructure while disrupting global markets and aviation.
