Turkish wrestler wins gold in European championships

ISTANBUL 

Turkish wrestler Suleyman Atli won gold medal in the 2019 European Wrestling Championships in Romania on Tuesday.

In men's 57kg freestyle final, Atli beat Russian Muslim Sadulaev 8-3 to claim the gold medal in the Bucharest tournament.

Meanwhile, Turkey's Selahattin Kilicsallayan clinched a silver medal in men’s 65-kg freestyle final after defeated by Azerbaijan's Haci Aliyev.

On Tuesday evening, Turkey's Mustafa Kaya will face Azerbaijan's Aghahuseyn Mustafayev in men's 70-kg freestyle final for a gold medal.

In men's 79-kg freestyle final, Turkish wrestler Muhammet Nuri Kotanoglu will face Ukrainia's Oleksii Domanytskyi to claim a bronze medal.

Meanwhile, Turkey's Taha Akgul beat Russia's Anzor Ruslanovitch Khizriev 8-1 in men's 125-kg freestyle to face Georgian Geno Petriashvili in the final.
