The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that Ukraine attempted an attack on the civilian boats in the Black Sea.

In a statement, the ministry said that the incident took place on Friday evening when Ukraine used several unmanned boats against Russian civilian transport vessels in the southwestern region of the Black Sea.

One of the Ukrainian boats was shot, while the others were jammed by means of electronic warfare, the ministry said.

"Civilian transport vessels and ships of the Russian Navy were not damaged in the attack," it added.

Russia started its "special military operation" in Ukraine in February 2022.

Meanwhile, the Russian TASS news agency reported that in a tit-for-tat move, Russia has decided to terminate the lease agreement with the Ukrainian Embassy in Moscow.
