Authorities say he passed information on domains to Russian military intelligence, according to media reports

ATHENS
A Lithuanian court convicted an 83-year-old dual citizen of spying for Russia, media reports said Thursday.
Eduardas Manovas, who holds Lithuanian and Russian citizenship, was convicted by the Siauliai Regional Court after partially admitting guilt, according to public broadcaster LRT.
It added that Manovas acknowledged sending non-classified information, though he claimed it was not intended for intelligence agents.
Lithuanian authorities said Manovas collected and passed information to the Russian military intelligence agency, GRU, about the country’s political and economic affairs, party activities, national defense capabilities, NATO consultations, military procurement and support for Ukraine.
While not classified, officials said the information was sensitive and valuable to Russian intelligence, adding he worked for GPU from 2018 to early 2024, when he was exposed.
