French Embassy in Moscow lifts coronavirus restrictions for giving visas to Russians
Embassy warns that getting a visa does not guarantee that one can enter France

MOSCOW
The French Embassy in Russia announced on Wednesday that starting Friday, April 1, it is lifting coronavirus restrictions on visas for Russians citizens.
However, the embassy warned that obtaining a visa does not mean automatic authorization to enter France, as coronavirus restrictions measures are still in effect on the border.
"Recently, restrictions on entry to France related to the COVID-19 pandemic have been relaxed for arrivals from Russia. Registration for a visa is now possible for a large number of categories of applicants. From April 1, 2022, it will be possible to apply for tourist visas again without restrictions related to COVID.
"Granting a visa does not guarantee the possibility of immediate entry into the territory where restrictive measures at the border are still in effect," the statement said.
