Gasoline prices are among the most expensive in Europe, according to a recently published report.
Turkey's tax-included prices for unleaded and diesel gas rank, respectively, third, at 2.91 Turkish lira ($1.30) , fourth, at 2.25 Turkish lira ($1.01), among the EU countries, said an oil market pricing report of Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority on Friday.
The report indicates that prices of unleaded gas and diesel in Turkey did not change in Oct. despite the downward course of Brent oil price in the international market last month.
Prices without tax for unleaded gas and diesel in Turkey sold at 1.89 ($0.85) and 2.02 Turkish lira ($0.90) respectively, according to the report.
The report says 53 percent of the diesel prices and 61 percent of the unleaded gas prices are taxes. This constitutes the seventh highest tax rate among EU countries.
