Ashgabat’s government founded a new energy company, Turkmen Petroleum with its headquarters in Dubai, Trend news agency reported on Monday.
The newly-established company also opened offices in three different countries; Turkmenistan (Ashgabat), Germany (Frankfurt) and Estonia (Tallinn).
Turkmenistan's Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) became one of the shareholders of Turkmen Petroleum which will transport TCOR’s products to customer countries including, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland.
One of the main goals of Turkmen Petroleum is to extend the presence of TCOR in the international energy market.
The Turkmenistan government aims to bring the capacity of its oil production industry from its present production level of 10 million tons per year to 20 million tons of oil by 2020, 22 million tons in 2025 and 30 million tons in 2030.
