World’s top 10 tech companies worth more than China’s GDP
Combined market cap of top 10 tech companies nears $18 trillion

The world’s top 10 largest tech companies reached a combined market capitalization of nearly $18 trillion, surpassing China’s gross domestic product (GDP) of $17.6 trillion in 2023, according to Statista.
Apple became the most valuable tech company worldwide with a capitalization of $3.4 trillion in 2024, according to data from the Companies Market Cap website compiled by Anadolu.
The iPhone maker had a market cap of $1.1 trillion in March 2020 at the beginning of the global pandemic.
Microsoft is the second-most valuable tech company with a market cap of $3.3 trillion, a success attributed to the Windows maker’s advancements in cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
US-based Nvidia is third on the list as the chipmaker’s market cap jumped from $1.2 trillion last year to $3 trillion earlier this month.
Alphabet came in fourth at $2.2 trillion, followed by Amazon at $1.9 trillion, Meta Platforms with $1.2 trillion and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) with $878 billion.
Tesla ranked eighth at $802 billion, with Broadcom with $749 billion and Tencent following at $449 billion.
