Turkish exports to Germany totaled $1.6623 billion last month, marking their highest-ever February performance, according to data released Monday by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM).
Turkish exports continued to perform well last month despite global economic, commercial, political, and geopolitical developments, while the country’s trade diplomacy was positively reflected in export figures.
Turkish exports in February climbed 1.6% year-on-year to $21.0649 billion, while the country recorded its highest exports to Germany in the month of February.
Turkish exports to Germany in February rose 11.9% on an annual basis, the data showed.
Germany remained the largest recipient of Turkish exports last month, followed by the UK with $1.1154 billion, Italy with $1.0123 billion, the US with $994.7 million, and France with $861.6 million.
Türkiye’s industrial businesses led in exports to Germany in February.
Germany received $543.9 million worth of auto exports, followed by $198.2 million in ready-to-wear apparel, $130.4 million in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, $116.9 million in chemical products and goods, $100.2 million in electronics and electronic exports, and $63.2 million in nuts and related products last month.
Turkish auto exports to Germany last month jumped $75 million year-on-year, followed by ferrous and non-ferrous and chemical products up $22.7 million each, nuts and products up $15.2 million, and jewelry exports up $13.5 million.
