Turkish stock exchange begins midweek flat
BIST 100 loses 10.1 points at opening session
ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 11,338.73, slightly falling 0.09% or 10.1 points.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 was down 0.94% to close at 11,348.83 points, with a daily transaction volume of 122.5 billion Turkish liras ($2.86 billion).
As of 10 am local time (0700GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.3565 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 49.1110 to the euro, and 55.7150 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,091.95, while Brent crude oil was trading at $59.60 per barrel.
