Young merchant candidates will meet with businesspeople at the headquarters of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) in Istanbul, Türkiye this weekend within the scope of the Trade School project organized by Türkiye’s YediHilal Association.

The Trade School project, of which Anadolu is the global communication partner, will consist of three stages.

In the first phase, participants will follow sessions on courage, patience, praise and trade ethics.

Following the sessions, young merchant candidates will present their entrepreneurial ideas in groups with an enterprise simulation.

After the evaluations, the first entrepreneurial idea will be awarded 25,000 liras ($770).

In the second phase of the project, participants will receive six weeks of online training on topics such as basic entrepreneurship, digital marketing, financial management, productive thinking and business idea development under the mentorship of professionals.

The project will continue with a mentoring and experience transfer process based on the master-apprentice relationship with the participants who have successfully completed the first two phases.

Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to continue this mentoring until the candidates establish their own businesses.

Mehmet Cebeci, the chairman of the Trade School commission, said the project was created to oppose all kinds of ideas and actions that do not accord with a Muslim merchant.

“With the entry of the 21st century, globalizing economies began to eliminate all moral lines in trade,” he said.

"The Trade School aims to raise Muslim merchants who are based on a master-apprentice relationship, have trade ethics and pay attention to the limits of halal and haram (allowed and forbidden).”

Registration for the Trade School project continues on the website ticaretmektebi.com.
