Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up %0.78 at Monday opening
BIST 100 index goes up over 930 points from previous close
Turkey's benchmark stock index rose by 0.78%, or 931.46 points, to start Monday at 119,595.16 points.
At Friday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index went up 0.57% to reach 118,663.70 points, with a daily trading of 15.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.6 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 5.8680 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, versus 5.8780 at Friday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also stood at 6.5330, versus 6.5200, and one British pound traded for 7.6640 Turkish liras, versus 7.6980 at the previous close.
