Turkiye's BIST 100 index up at Friday open
BIST 100 index earns some 12 points from previous close

ISTANBUL
Turkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,969.73 points on Friday, up 11.73 points, or 0.6%, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index was down 44.34 points, or 2.21%, to close Thursday at 1,957.90 points, with a daily trading volume of 22.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.67 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 13.5950 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 13.5390 at Thursday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate climbed to 15.5620 from 15.4120, while a British pound traded for 18.4620 liras, up from 18.4460 a day earlier.
Brent crude oil sold for around $91.35 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
