ISTANBUL

Porsche, the sports car brand of German automotive manufacturer Volkswagen Group, reported Friday that global vehicle deliveries dropped 10% in 2025 compared to the previous year due to the impact of declining sales in China.

Porsche's deliveries fell to 279,449 units in 2025, from 310,718 in the previous year, according to a statement by the firm.

The firm's sales fell below 300,000 units for the first time since 2020.

The German manufacturer's sales in Europe, excluding Germany, fell 13% year-on-year in 2025 to 66,340.

Porsche's deliveries in North America remained unchanged year-on-year at 86,229, while deliveries in Germany, one of the company's main markets, decreased by 16% to 29,968.

In China, Porsche delivered 41,938 vehicles during the same period, a 26% year-on-year decline.

The company stated that the main reason for the decline in China was the challenging market conditions in the luxury segment and the increasing competition, particularly in fully electric models, in the country.

The best-selling model for the German manufacturer was the Macan with 84,828 units sold, but despite the decline in sales, electric vehicles accounted for 22% of total deliveries at Porsche.
