Karmod builds modular office and dormitory complex for heavy equipment firm in Romania
Structures comprise single-story office, two-story dormitory building with accommodations for up to 120 workers

ISTANBUL
Turkish modular building company Karmod has completed the installation of a container-based office and dormitory complex for a heavy machinery sales and rental company in Bucharest, Romania.
The structures were delivered and fully assembled within 12 days, comprising a single-story office and a two-story dormitory building with accommodations for up to 120 workers.
Karmod Container General Manager Abdullah Yuceer said the project is part of a growing trend where modular container structures are increasingly used as permanent buildings in service and industrial sectors due to their fast installation and durability.
“While we offer our clients the advantage of rapid and practical installation, we also provide ergonomic and comfortable spaces for users,” Yuceer said. “Our container buildings are no longer just temporary solutions - they are now long-lasting, permanent facilities.”
The total construction area of the project spans 642 square meters, built from 127 container units produced at Karmod’s Tuzla and Orhanli factories. The prefabricated units were transported flatpack by road to Romania, where Karmod’s supervisory team oversaw the swift assembly process.
The 100-square-meter office includes executive rooms and workspaces for sales and rental teams. The dormitory, designed across two floors and covering 542 square meters, consists of 60 container rooms (30 on each floor), each accommodating two people. Sanitary units, including showers and toilets, were also installed on both levels.
“The dormitory will house heavy equipment operators working on local infrastructure and construction projects,” Yuceer added.
He said container structures are especially well-suited for industrial and service environments, offering scalable, on-site solutions without requiring full-scale construction zones.
Karmod emphasized that the project reflects the company’s ability to deliver high-quality, efficient modular building solutions across international markets.
