European stock markets close higher except for Spain

ISTANBUL 

European stocks closed higher Tuesday except for the IBEX 35 in Spain.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 2.85 points, or 0.62%, to close at 461.79.

The UK’s FTSE 100 rose 44 points, or 0.57%, to finish the session at 7,785.

Germany’s DAX 30 added 57 points, or 0.37%, to reach 15,655. France’s CAC 40 tacked on 65 points, or 0.89%, to hit 7,390 at the closing bell.

Italy’s FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 311 points, or 1.15%, to 27,525.

Spain’s IBEX 35, on the other hand, fell 74 points, or 0.8%, to close flat at 7,237.
