KHARTOUM, Sudan
Turkey has become a world brand thanks to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Turkish Airlines, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Emrullah Isler said on Saturday.
Isler, who is on an official visit to Sudan, told an AA correspondent that Anadolu Agency has become one of the top news agencies in the world.
"You are performing an important duty through sharing with the world what happens in Turkey and abroad. Anadolu Agency keeps growing across the world, and is one of the significant instruments of Turkey," he said.
Isler also said that AA broadcasts in several languages, and has assumed an important mission regarding covering news stories in Africa, referring to the new regional office opened in January in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa.
